Professional advocates with lived experience and the qualifications to match
The SEND Solution brings together highly experienced professional SEND advocates who combine genuine lived experience of the system with formal SEND law training and professional qualifications in health, education or law. We know what families go through because we've been there too.
Our story
The SEND Solution was founded on the experience of the SEND system first-hand, the confusion, the delays, the local authority battles and ultimately the tribunal process. That lived experience is at the heart of everything we do.
But lived experience alone isn't enough. Every professional advocate at The SEND Solution holds a professional qualification in either health, education or law and every professional advocate has completed formal training in SEND law and the First-tier Tribunal process. We are not simply parents who've been through it we are qualified professionals who have been through it.
That combination of rigorous professional training, deep knowledge of SEND Law, SEND Code of Practice and relevant case law and genuine empathy for what families are experiencing is what sets us apart. We give you the kind of support we wish we'd had.
Real people, real expertise
Every family we support is guided by a qualified advocate with professional training in SEND law and genuine lived experience of the system.

That lived experience is the foundation everything we do is built on and the reason we approach every case with both professional rigour and genuine empathy.

All our advocates have completed formal training in SEND law with IPSEA Advanced Level 3 training, the SEND Code of Practice and have extensive experience of First-tier Tribunal procedure. Our guidance is always legally grounded.
Qualified professional backgrounds
Every professional advocate holds a professional qualification in health, education or law. We bring clinical, educational and legal expertise directly to your case.
Lived experience of the SEND system
We've navigated EHCPs, school placements and tribunal as families ourselves. We understand the emotional weight alongside the legal complexity and we never lose sight of that.
Highly experienced in practice
Our advocates have supported families across England through every stage of the SEND process, from EHCNA's, EHCP checks, annual reviews to complex multi-issue tribunal cases.
How we work
Qualified advocates with formal SEND law training, you receive expert, legally-informed support at every stage.
We've been through the SEND system as families. We listen before we advise and we never forget the human side.
We review every document, every report, every piece of evidence and assess it against SEND law and the Code of Practice and SEND Law.
We tell you what we professionally think, including when a case is strong, when it needs work and what the realistic outcomes are.
We work with trusted associate SEND advocates who share our commitment to legally-informed, family-centred advocacy, so you always have the right person in your corner.
